On behalf of the Ballyglass National School learning community, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to you and your child as you join our warm and caring school community in Ballyglass National School. 

Ballyglass NS is a mixed catholic school situated 4km outside the beautiful village of Ardrahan. We are a vibrant school community, which fosters inclusiveness, spirituality, individuality, difference and the development of all our talents. We pride ourselves on the atmosphere of mutual respect and an expectation of the highest standards of behaviour, of work ethic and of personal achievement. We strive to allow each student to become the very best that they wish to be, while empowering them to meet the challenges of education and of life.

All at Ballyglass NS strive to provide a very high standard of education within a happy caring environment. We believe that a broad, balanced, educational experience will allow our pupils to reach their full potential. Our other school partners – an active Parents’ Association, a dedicated Board of Management and supportive Patron – all strive to provide the very best educational experience for our pupils.

At the centre of every great school is its outstanding staff and Ballyglass NS is no exception. Our faculty are trained in instructional best practices and demonstrate a huge commitment to the education and wellbeing of all our students.

We are fortunate enough to have a bright and spacious school building and an outdoor playing area which we are very proud of. We have four spacious and fully equipped mainstream classrooms, one room dedicated to support teaching, a pre-school and after-school room, an outdoor basketball court and a large hurling pitch.
