Like other primary schools, Ballyglass NS is managed by a Board of Management. The eight member board is made up of people representing the Patron, parents, staff and the wider community. Boards of Managements serve for four years and our current board will be in place until November 2027.

The Board of Management is responsible for ensuring that an appropriate education is provided for all the school’s pupils. The Board manages the school on behalf of our Patron, Bishop Michael Duignan and is accountable to the Patron and to the Minister for Education and Skills.

The Board is responsible for upholding the characteristic spirit or ethos of the school and is accountable to the Patron for so doing. The Board is the employer of the principal and other staff of the school. The Board has overall responsibility for school policies.

The board normally meets 5 times a year. The first meeting of this new Board took place on 30th January 2024
